Cloverleaf 2025.01 not returning C-STORE-RSP back to Originator SCU

Hi,

I’m testing the DICOM adapter in Cloverleaf 2025.01 and running into an issue with a simple SCP -> SCU routing setup. The main problem is that when Cloverleaf is placed in the middle, my imaging system (AE: SOFTWARESCU) times out because it does not receive a C-STORE-RSP back, even though the image is successfully processed and routed to Orthanc.

Basically, I am trying to send DICOM Objects (in this case CTs) from my imaging system to the Orthanc PACS. Cloverleaf sits between the two so it can modify the DICOM content (adding an Accession Number in this scenario) before rerouting the message to Orthanc.

The system is configured as follows:

Imaging System (AE:SOFTWARESCU) -> DICOM_SCP thread (AE:CLOVERLEAFSCP) -> Detailed xlated Route to ORTHANCSCU thread (Local AE: CLOVERLEAFSCU, Remote AE: ORTHANC)

I can see the CT image in Orthanc and the xlate has been applied (i.e. I do see the added accession number in Orthanc).

However, on my imaging system side, it returns a timeout error because Cloverleaf does not send any C-STORE-RSP back. When Cloverleaf is not in between, I do not have this issue, as Orthanc sends back a C-STORE-RSP correctly.

I tried the ack_dicom TCL from the message routing documentation, but it did not work, even after rearranging it (e.g. changing transfer syntax, replacing {SEND $msg_new} with {OVER $msg_new}). The TCL was set in the Inbound tab of the DICOM_SCP thread.

Did I do anything wrong? Could anyone help here? I have seen some threads regarding DICOM here but did not find anything that helps unfortunately.

I also noticed that in the “Testing DICOM” section there might be a NetConfig template which includes some DICOM configuration, but I could not find it anywhere. Could someone please send that NetConfig?
