I’m on 5.2 and the bidirectional table I am testing with doesn’t appear to work from out to in.   I do have the bidirectional box checked and I have chosen “output” within the translate.  However, it won’t return anything, not even my default I have entered.

Has anyone had problems with this?

    Thanks…

      Tom,

We are also on Cloverleaf(R) 5.2.

I just tested it and it works fine for me, I also tested looking for an entry that does not exist and I got the appropriate default.

I found the issue that was causing the problem.  I downloaded a script off of Clovertech that creates tables.  I was calling that script from a cron job.  The files that it was acting upon were CSV files that have each entry pair on a new line.  I didn’t think to look for a carriage return at the end of each line.  So, whenever I ran the script, the table would work fine from “in to out” but not “out to in”.   If I opened the table in the GUI and did any kind of modification, it would stirp out the carriage return and the table would work fine in both directions.  So, I simply just added a entry to the script that would strip out the carriage return as I read in each line.

      Thanks…
