          It looks like you upgraded Cloverleaf on 15th July 2011. The .bak files are created as part of the migration. At least that’s where the .bak files came from on my Cloverleaf server.

            Thanks David.  Today I promoted a site from v5.5 to v5.8.  There were no .bak files created.
