ParticipantIs it possible to put the subject of the digest in, instead of just having “Clovertech”? -

ParticipantThe subjects are included in the digests. Are you not seeing them? -

ParticipantI am. I just think it would be helpful to see the subject of the topic the digest is referring to without opening the email.
I’m not trying to be a nay-sayer, but I liked the old email system. I could read what I wanted to and not read what I didn’t. I like the idea of having the online forum, but I don’t like that some functionality has been taken away from the emails.
The online forum is good if I am looking for a particular topic that I want an answer to.
The original email forum is better to just see discussions going on among users.
Those are just my opinions. I’ll leave them at that.

ParticipantI have to agree with Matt. The email messages were much easier and quicker. I could print what I wanted and delete what I didn’t want. While there are benefits to the new system, speed isn’t one of them. There is way to much pointing and clicking to get what you want. If I’m working from home over dial-up, there’s no way I can handle the GUI overhead. For those of us who preferred the email, one compromise could be to have the digests include the
completemessages. -

ParticipantI’m going to say it again, but in addition to complete messages, in the digest, have the digetst sorted by topic and not date time the response was made. This would allow for the skipping of topics I’m not interested in and following a particular thread easier without jumping around in the digest. Robert Milfajt

KeymasterMy digests are sorted by forum, then topic, then date/time under the topic. Rob Abbott

ParticipantMy digests are sorted by date/time of reply. Since that’s pretty unique, I can’t determine any other sorting criteria. If I missed some setup parameter to get my digests sorted nicely as you described, which is what I’d like, then please help me GET-R-DONE! Thanks,
Bob

ParticipantAnd I wouldn’t want you to go back to the old email system. I think it would be better to have the digests mimic the old email system though. I just don’t think the digests are formatted very well, and could be improved.
Just let me see the Topic in the subject and the posting in the message without all the other garbage and I’m a happy camper.
I don’t need to have the Dear Matt Lowe, As you requested… verbage. If it came from
cloveradmin@quovadx.com , I know it’s a digest. And if you want to include the Format settings and disclosure with the email, put them at the bottom after what I want to see – which is the actual posting. -

KeymasterThe digests should now be properly sorted and the HTML formatting has been improved slightly. Are you using the text or HTML formatted digests?

ParticipantIt seems that html formating still having a problem. Every day at random times I receive partially formated digests.
Can some one in Quovadx look at this problem.
Thanks.

ParticipantIf you’ll look at the header of the email, you’ll see that the text versions are coming from a different email server at Quovadx. -mh

KeymasterThat’s good information – looking at some of these text digests people have received, they actually went out as HTML and had the formatting stripped somewhere in transit. We will continue to dig into this…

KeymasterOk, it looks like we may have an SMTP routing issue. If you have signed up for HTML digests and receive a text digest, please forward both an HTML digest and a text digest to me with all email headers preserved. This will help us track this down. Thanks.

KeymasterThere’s an ’email’ button next to my name 😛 I think we may have this figured out. A routing change was made this afternoon. If you have subscribed for HTML and you receive text after today, please let me know.
Thanks!

ParticipantOK, Rob, maybe I’m just overly dense, but I don’t see a button next to your name. And the address sure isn’t in your profile. Is there some setting I have wrong? 😕 -

KeymasterHmm, maybe only admins see the button. Anyhow, As I said, please forward any text digests you have received after Friday. Preserve all email headers. Thanks!
