Advanced Scheduling in ftp thread not working

I have messages throughtout the day appending to a file.  At 7:30 every morning I want to ftp this file to another vendor.  The thread is working, in that it ftp’s my file just fine.  But it’s not paying attention to the scheduled time.

I’ve been reading through previous topics and there is a lot out here that says don’t use advanced scheduling without a tcl or use another scheduling job to do the ftp.

What exactly is the purpose of the advanced scheduling option, and does it really work?

I’m on 5.6 rev 2, and I have the delay until needed option checked in my protocol.  Is there something else I need?
