5.5 client license

Hi,

If I have to work remotely and I don’t have a remote desktop, how do I use the 5.5 client and how do I acquire it?

Is that free to acquire? or if it costs, how much does that usually run?

Its just the client version that I need to use.

I need to be able to work remotely and use 5.5 client to connect to remote client and work off. No remote desktop.

How does this work?

Please let me know. Appreciate your help.

  I just use the same client CD that I used to install the IDE on my PC at work. Also, don’t forget to include any patches or revisions.

  Thank you. and once you install, you can use that to directly connect to remote servers??
  
  I hope, I am asking it right way. I haven’t done it and neither attempted it and so, just making sure.
  
  So, if the client has a 5.5 cd, I can just install it on my laptop and connect to their servers and work, right? I don’t need to really buy a license or anything?

  What OS are the different machines running?
  
  IF the engine is running on AIX. Then you will need to get the windows version of the client from Healthvision. I’m pretty sure there is no cost for that.

  If you are an employee of the organization, they should provide you with the appropriate CD(s) and access and there should not be a fee for employee access.

  Thanks John and Jim. I should find out this afternoon about the version.
  
  If this is consulting, what is it that needs done? Do I need to buy a license or since the work is done for the client, the client should install the 5.5 on my laptop?
  
  Any suggestions if I had to get my own license?
