We are an AIX shop using CLVF 6.0.2

We are looking at moving to Linux.

So we spin up a VM and load it with RedHat 5.9 (certified disto)

then tar up on “stuff” and drop it on to the new box and away we go..right?

BUT.. what about the thru put, how many cores to do I need?

      What about scripting?

Has anyone out there been through this?

We have 700 threads across 15 sites.

I guess I am looking for advice and WHERE to start this project and from my view point it is how big of a Linux box do I need to support my current AIX production environment, then I build a sand-box and begin my journey.

Thanks in advance for the guidance.

          Hi Tony,

You may want to engage with Infor to do some capacity planning.  I know in the past we have filled out spreadsheets/worksheets with our message volumes and Infor had provided recommend hardware configurations based on those capacity worksheets.

Hi Tony if you contact your account exec they can get you a resource to help with hardware sizing.
