<p>At a previous employer we had throttling set to 1 / 1 / 100%. &nbsp;That seemed to keep the state 7 queues from building for the most part. &nbsp;But, I think this setting might slow down the Xlate process in general. &nbsp;</p>

<p>We ended up going with AIX 7.1; SNA v6.4. &nbsp;We have been running this since April with no major issues. &nbsp;We did have to change the thread configs to use &#8220;binary&#8221; encoding instead of &#8220;ASCII&#8221;, however.</p>
<p>We tried AIX 7.1 and SNA 7.0 and it DID NOT work with Cloverleaf 6.0 because the APIs have been changed in SNA 7.0.</p>

<p>Now, whether or not we can get our employer to pay for and send us to the class is another question entirely! &nbsp;😆</p>

<p>I thought that same thing you did .. that there was another localhost listener on this port, but I verified that when I shut down my receiver process and run &#8220;netstat -an | grep &#8221; there is nothing listening on the port I&#8217;m using.</p>

<p>The problem isn&#8217;t so much that our engine can&#8217;t process the messages, its that some of the downstreams can&#8217;t receive them fast enough, so their ends up being a 15-20min delay in their ADTs while they catch up.</p>
