That’s right! I get what you’re saying now. Instead of using the raw data from PV1.3 I’ll convert it to generic values in the TrxId proc and make a manageable set of routes that way. Thanks!
Thanks Mark. My problem is that I have more than A and B.
More specifically, I’m creating the TrxId by concatenating PV1.3 and MSH.9. There are over 1,000 combinations and I want to find a way to route the messages without having to code each TrxId route.
Thanks Charlie. I didn’t really want to build my own table but it was looking like I might need to. Then I got the answer from posting my question in a different way. It turned out when I was trying to convert using tr I was using the decimal value of the character and not the octal. A quick change and it’s working fine. I’m going to look into what CP037 will do. I’ve never worked with anything but binary and ascii encoding options.
Russ, you’re a lifesaver. I wasn’t using the octal value when I used tr. That works.
Thanks for the answers. I did check the index file and it looked ok with permissions. I tried stopping the process, deleting the index file and letting it rebuild it. It still sent the error for a while but then stopped. I don’t know if it’s possible but I think the file it was processing might have had something off about it’s permissions. Everything seems fine now.
I don’t see an attachment. I only see [/img] under your question. I posted this question recently under the Operating Systems forum. You can see the response I got here –

This has a few links to answers.
I knew it sounded too simple. 🙂
The outbound queue depth alert should give you what you’re looking for. You can specify how many messages you want to trigger the alert.
Thanks. That’ll be helpful. I’ll read through the links.
Keith, Thanks for that formatting information. I never went looking for that but I can certainly use a longer name in the connection column for hciconnstatus. I’m implementing a 30 character field right now.
April 22, 2014 at 3:40 pm in reply to: Installed 6.0 on AIX in cluster now host server rpt wrong IP #80374Thanks for everyone’s help. I was away last week and couldn’t try it until now. I found that using the virtual IP address worked and the GUI displays fine now.
Thanks. I’m toying with a few different possibilities. I’ll be sure to post my solution when I get one. Has this been solved? It’s exactly what I’m working on right now and it would be great if there was an answer. Thanks. Jim, I think you’re probably right. We’ve tried working with support and changed a variety of client.ini and server.ini settings without success. I’ll need to work with our network team to get this resolved. Thanks everyone for all the ideas.
