Currently, when I don’t use a CONTINUE, I have all the segments I want in the output, just not broken into separate messages. When I put the CONTINUE in where I think it should go, my output is missing the last several segments.

I got the message to work as I originally asked the question but now a change has occurred. We want to create a new message each time there is to be a new OBR segment. I have tried using “CONTINUE” with “SUPPRESS” but haven’t gotten my desired results.

Any thoughts?

Thanks!

It worked. Thanks Jim.

I had another issue that was causing an error that I thought the variable was causing. I need to truncate a field to 10 characters and that field may contain a space. I know the xlateInVals, xlateOutVals is a list but I’m new enough that I don’t know how to manipulate that list.

Thanks for the replies and I’m still working thru this issue.

Another question, is there a way to automatically cycle the thread involved at a certain time? That way, a person (me) doesn’t have to manually do it at 12:30am all the time until we find the root cause.

Thanks again!
