Thank you Jim I will try that in the a.m.
Thank you everyone for all your help. There was an issue with the file. I did hcihexdump like you said and found out the segments were ending with 0xa instead of oxd. fixed it and now testing working out great. Thanks again gentlemen.
Thank you so much. Didn’t think about that.
I’m still just getting the MSH segment when I ran it through the HL7 tester.
That I haven’t done. I will try it tonight and see what I get. Thanks a lot.
yes, I just don’t know what’s going on. I used PATHCOPY too, same thing.
Thank you Jim and Charlie. Charlie, you were right, it was the file I was using. It now works perfectly. Thank you so much gentlemen.
I am still getting just the MSH SEGMENT. There might be something wrong with the late tool itself. I don’t know. Is there a way I can do this in TCL?
I tried that but only getting the MSH header.
September 24, 2012 at 6:59 pm in reply to: Does ay have a tclproc to add value into a segment #77167Right now, the MSH-3 field is empty and the vendor wants me to add “ADT” in field 3. I don’t have a working xlate so I can’t do a bulkcopy. So the only way I can do it is by writing a tcl proc and I’m not that knowledgeable.
thank you

thanks for replying. but I’m not that knowledgeable with xlate. could you please a bit more specific. perhaps a few steps. Just started learning cloverleaf.
thank you.
is that after I do a pathcopy? thanks.
It’s number 1.
I have multiple obx segment but only want to sent 1 through 10 and suppress anything after that. Please help.
thank you.
I went with your guys ideas but only getting partial of the message with the pathcopy.
For Exam:
MESSAGE 1
[0:TEST] Illegal pathcopy from “0(0).OBX(0)” (segment) to “0(0).OBX” (segment with automatic iteration).
0(0).MSH(0) : >|^~&|||||||ADT^A08||P|2.4<
0(0).EVN(0) : >|A08<
0(0).PID(0) : ><
0(0).PV1(0) : ><
thank you.
