<p>There is also hcihl7convert an hcihl7convert for variants if the variant is the problem after upgrade.</p>

<p>I did a NFS mount read only of the <b><s><b></b></s>physical location</b> of /cloverleaf/qdx5.6 directory onto my cloverleaf 6.0 server and used a symbolic link to make it look like they existed in the right place on my new cloverleaf 6.0 server.</p>

<p>I&#8217;ve always used hcirootcopy to upgrade a site from one cloverleaf version to another.</p>

<p>Interfaces configured to use ports in the ephemeral range is just a matter of time before they malfunction and can even impact the cloverleaf host server and hang that too.</p>

<p>The thought that comes to mind right off the bat is to be sure if you ever do a hcidbdump command let it finish no matter how long it takes and never break out of it by doing ctrl-c or you will create problems with accessing the DB.</p>

									<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>If you haven&#8217;t already set the compatibility mode to Win7 for what you are launching, give that a try, that&#8217;s what I recall doing to get it to work on Win10 a couple of weeks ago.</p>
<p>We ended up getting the vendor a Win7 virtual machine in-house that the contractor could remote desktop to, so did not use it on WIN10 more than a couple of days.</p>

<p>Even when I do rarely use SMAT in the GUI it is just for viewing.</p>
<p>I don&#8217;t trust the SMAT GUI under cloverleaf 6.0 to ever do a resend or write to a file.</p>

									<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>I lost track of the original clovertech post I got this work around from but was able to find the steps I followed.</p>
<p>One of our team members had horrible IDE slowness after upgrading from cloverleaf 5.6 to 6.0 that he just couldn&#8217;t make go away.</p>
<p>Everyone else had no issues even on the same exact setup.</p>

									<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>We had to do something similar to what Robert described when upgrading from Cloverleaf 5.6 to cloverleaf 6.0.</p>
<p>For interfaces that were EBCIDIC we set the ib thread to binary and any thread it routes to is set to binary, anything after that could be ASCII.</p>
