Just to verify, the “~” ‘s are coming across from my sending software due to line-feeds.  I have messaged them and told them that they need to change these since they should not be sending any HL7 delimiters in their messages.

        Mark,

Our situations sound eerily similar.  My engine is Windows 2003.  We have a system (Datex Ohmeda, which is now part of GE) that is sending HL7 vital sign information to a port on my engine.  It will work great for about 4 hours, then for no reason messages stop coming across.  All I have to do is stop/start the inbound thread and everything is great until the next time.  The inbound thread stays in the UP status and nothing looks out of the ordinary.  Did you find a solution for your problem?

          Karl,

Thanks so much.  The only thing I had to change was _%m to _%M to get minutes instead of month.  Also, I attached the proc to the Post Procs section of the Xlate Route Details tab.  It seems to be working the way I want.  Again, thank you for your help.

            Karl,

Thanks for the response.  Now, excuse my ignorance, but we’re limited users and this is the first FTP file we’ve sent through the engine.  Does the couple lines of code you gave me just go in the “RUN” section of the tcl?  Then how to I tell it to put the 2002 on the front?  Lastly, where do I attach this in the thread?  Thanks again.
