That is the port that we have used since the process was implemented. The system is configured to send the results via that port and Cloverleaf is listening on it. I do not clearly understand what the ephemeral range really relates too, I will do some reading on it. Changing the port number may resolve the issue, but we have been using the process for around 3 years now.
Also, it seems to be happening every 48 hours on the minute. At 5:55am the connection goes down. The DI system sends messages and waits for an ACK, which is never received and the PORT closes on Cloverleaf and never opens back up until the thread is stopped and restarted on Cloverleaf.
Jim,
Our helpdesk has stated that it goes into an Opening Status.
Here is text from the DI Manager log.Time Stamp State Message

We have not received any ACKs in the error database for that first example.
Today we did get one on an outbound thread for an outgoing ADT message.
On that feed we had the kill replies proc configured on the inbound replies section of OUTBOUND Tab.
We did not have the OUTBOUND only option selected. We did try selecting that option and will see if we get any more in the next few dates.
We seem to get one or two a week on that thread and it is a very busy thread, so most ACKs are processed without error.
I think its because we do not have the kill reply configured with this interface.
we will set that up and see if these errors go away.
thanks to everyone who offered a suggestion on this topic. 😀
Thanks that must be it. I the want to do the and command. took your advice and added it to the default file. I like your idea of having a minum alert file to use for instances of maintenance or special cases.
I think your right about only the one file being able to be used at anytime.
Let you know if I hear anything different.
Now that I think about it our previous Interface manager had us using two files a default and a normal one. Not sure why it was done that way, but I think they both may have worked. I will wait to see what others say, but I may need to do what you have suggested if we are unable to have more than one file running for alerts. Since this in prod they do not like us testing them.
Yes, I can add it in.
It was just a way to move them over from test and have them edited for different recipients and text in the email part of the alerts.
Thanks for your reply.
Thanks you all for you input. We did push back and they agreed to accept MDMs.
Thanks Jim,
I think I will probably end up doing this modification, but I think they are asking do much of their work. We are trying to avoid getting in a position where we have to do their maintenance.
It was my mistake. I need something that helps me see better.
Your pointer about the > character helped. I was not stripping that off and so it would never match my variable.
Thank you for your time and help with this.
Yes, when testing I get the error that nteSeg2 is not found, or available?
Thank you for this information. I am checking with the Vendor, but they are saying that with the Holiday it will probably be next week that I can get more info.
Knowing that there is a cost is helpful.
Hello,
I saw your comment and I am interested in finding out if CSC has any costs associated with using it, if we already have Cloverleaf?
Thank you for this example.
I will test it and see how it works. So is this only grabbing the first field after the ~?
