<p>I have done this type of programming in our environment.  We do this because of our design and how many interfaces we have (over 7000) so it is easier to do Autostart and a few other things (port, host, bindings, etc).</p>

									<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Our security team has said no X-windowing on our network and it makes the server admin stuff very difficult.  I have had to do some odd things to get around this.</p>
<p>Infor should look at changing the X-windowing need to make it some web paged based or give another method from the command line or something.</p>

									<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>As for the Stats:  We reset them every night.  It lets us know what we do from day to day.   We analyze trends and such.  It also lets us know when a system goes off the rails and sends us too many or too few.  There is a lot to be said about the Stats.</p>

									<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>I am not sure exactly what is going on but I know that we are able to start the HostServer from the command line and have the IDE and Global Monitor able to start and restart processes without any issues.  We do use the application user of   hci  on RHEL to be able to start and stop the host server.</p>

									<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Well I am trying to figure out how best to do this upgrade from 6.2.2 to 20.1.  We use Redhat and I see that RH 7.8 and 8.2 are certified for 20.1.  My question is, can I upgrade the RH to 8.2 and have the engine 6.2.2 run on that until I get it upgraded.  That is the $1,000,000 question.</p>

									<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>I could not figure out how to get a thread to do this with an AWS S3 Bucket so we ended up installing the AWS S3 toolset on our Cloverleaf servers.  Then we wrote a Shell Script to call the S3 commands to put data to an S3 bucket.</p>

<p>Thanks for the info.  I was not trying to avoid it but not really wanting to install the AWS S3 CLI on the Cloverleaf servers.  Did not know how it would interact.  So it seems that it is self contained and you have not seen any issues.</p>
