Are you starting as a different user than hci (or whoever owns the files in the site/exec/databases directory?

Try shutting down the site, remove the “rdm.taf” file, and try again.

If this doesn’t work it’s possible you’re missing some env vars related to the database or RDM.

Regarding patches, we suggest that you install the latest patch for the release you’re upgrading to.   So if you’re going to 2022.09, you’d install the base 2022.09, and then the latest patch which is 2022.09.02.

The webserver that hosts the CLAPI uses log4j core v1 which is not vulnerable to CVE-2021-44228.

As an FYI in 19.1 and below the trigger for cycling is size-based.  In 20.1 we added the ability to cycle on a schedule.

Some scenarios where you might disable recovery DB are around not needing “stale” data, like a query / response interface or a very chatty medical device where only the latest data is needed.

Your 6.1 install most likely has some sort of custom library in $HCIROOT/tclprocs.  Look in there for any Tcl files that define a proc called “field”.

• enable SMAT for the thread in question and enter the filename you want
• save NetConfig
• disable SMAT for the thread, leave the filename alone
• save NetConfig

Now you have a configuration with a SMAT file named, but it won’t save anything.
