Depending on your settings, the alert needs to reset in order to fire again.

Inbound latency sounds to me that the timer starts when a message is received and will alert if it takes longer than x to process a message from start to finish.

And the FOR setting means the alert needs to be true for > 2 minutes.

I am trying to find out what the cause and resolution was.
There was some issue with a Palo Alto firewall change.
A sister hospital also had the issue. 1380 was the magic number.

We have a VMAX results interface which is famous for this. (It just happened yesterday so this is great timing)
We use this code and kill the messages, making them go back, fix the result and resend. Sometimes it takes an attempt or two or three for them to get it right but eventually they do figure it out.
