									<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Thanks for the feedback. In the meantime, we set the thread back to &#8216;Server&#8217; and checked the &#8216;Close after write&#8217; box. So far we have maintained a consistent connection. Does this support the theory that the vendor is not sending a disconnect? Should the VPN be sending the disconnect or the actual application/service sending the messages?</p>

<p>We are on Windows 2003 &#8211; soon to be upgrading to 6.0 on Windows 2008. Can&#8217;t happen soon enough. We crashed again yesterday and I did an hcidbinit -AC during clean-up. </p>
<p>The only thing we have changed is adding two alerts to do a Stop/Start on two specific threads if we have had no activity for 30 minutes. 									<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Thanks Jim. This is a tcp/ip connection. The vendor is able to send ORM messages just fine but there is something going on with the ADT. The dump shows an extra character at the beginning of the message &#8211; maybe this is the issue?</p>
