On the left, there is an option to Turn Windows features on or off.<br />

									<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The problem seems to be that these messages aren&#8217;t garbage, they are good xlated messages that are not inserted into the database for some reason. If I save the messages from the error DB and resend them to the outbound thread, they process and post successfully.</p>

<p>We have an FTP job that runs each night, and has done so fine for the last year (as long as I&#8217;ve been in this position). Last night, however, the audit and error logs exploded to over 550MB a piece, filled with the following error:</p>

<p>Last night, I remembered that the previous interface specialist mentioned that there needs to be a dummy file in the directory, though he never mentioned why. I suppose that this would be it.</p>

<p>Remarkably, this seems to have worked! Might I ask why this would be necessary when connecting to our Production domain, but not in our Development domain? I do not know what the -a flag does.</p>

<p>We are actually running 5.5 Rev 1, which is slightly less out of date. I have engaged Infor, and I am speaking with our technical team to coordinate an AIX upgrade, as well.</p>

									<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>As it turns out, we were having a security audit performed that included an IP sweep and port scans. The engine panicked twice and crashed while the security analyst was here.</p>

									<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Quick update: Running the hcidbdump -e command with the -c flag indicates that it is an xlate error. I will do more thorough investigation of the source message and the output, looking for discrepancies that might identify where the xlate is erroring out.</p>
<p>I had never used the -c flag before. Big hat tip for the recommendation!</p>

This is a custom interface that uses a odbc tcl proc to insert the message into the database. I was not present when this interface was created, nor do I have familiarity with the ODBC proc.</p>

<p>The foreign system is creating these segments, so is it possible for CL 5.5 to interpret segment names that are longer than 3 characters?</p>

<p>Thanks again for the swift response. I am speaking of the pre and post proc sections within the Table action. In the bottom frame, where you specify input and output fields, the middle tcl section has pre and post tabs.</p>

									<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>I am running 5.5 on Windows 7, and the only change I recall making was to use the Windows Classic theme. This disables any of the Aero functionality. A lot of (legacy) application GUIs are not compatible with the Aero visual effects.</p>
<p>Might be worth a shot, if the compatibility modes do not work.</p>
