That’s exactly the parameter that documentation suggests to change on the client.ini
however, it doesnt seem to take it into account when trying to connect. It still wants to use the default 13019
Anything special once has to do in order to make the IDE client read the client.ini properly??
Hi
we don’t have a windows server. Backend is on linux
what we are trying to do is make the IDE client use another port which is not the default 13019
According to the docs is doable via the client.ini however, I tried the suggestion and didnt seem to make any difference
can you elaborate?
this exe doesnt seem to reside in the integrator folder
in the integrator documentation there is a chapter called client ini settings
inside there is a section that describes the following
under [general] options
rmi_registry_port
Default Value – 13017
Install Value – x
Install Config – Client installs
Required – FALSE
Description – This is the RMI registry port of the current Host Server. This port is used when attempting connections to all Host Servers.
After reading this, I’ve modified my client.ini to look like this
[general]
doc_base_dir=C:healthvisioncis5.8integrator
debug=false
rmi_registry_port=17000
[logs]
however, it still tries to connect to 13019
I believe “nan” stands for a generic error for “Not a Number”
So perhaps the top command having memory information blanked is causing that generic error
here is the output
[root@ontempd0aav002 ~]# free

Mem: 1992888 1201432 791456 0 275172 761804

[root@ontempd0aav002 ~]#
on another note, it seems the integrator comes with it’s own TOP binary inside the /bin directory. Here is the output that command produces. Notice that the Memory information is blank. Perhaps that’s causing the issue?

really old thread but, did this one ever get resolved?
We are experiencing the exact same thing
Have made some progress
We were missing xterm from our redhat install
By forwarding x11 traffic to Xming finally we can see an installer window now
Will proceed with the installation
Hello again
We have VNC installed and working
We are trying to run the installer from an xterm window by executing ./linux.bin and we are getting the same graphical mode error
I am attaching a screenshot
We have installed xterm, x11 and real vnc server
is there a log file anywhere?
Yes we are looking into getting a VNC server installed
GUI installer will be our next attempt. It’s the next logical step
Will update on results
One thing I can notice is the following
In your documentation you specify compat-libstdc++-7.3-2.96.122
the one that we have installed (the one available on redhat network) is
[root@ontempd0aav002 software]# rpm -q compat-libstdc++
compat-libstdc++-7.3-2.96.128
Can this version difference (even tho its a compat package) be causing issues?
Thanks for all your input so far 🙂
Here is what happens
Notice that after entering “1” it dies
[root@ontempd0aav002 Cloverleaf_integaration_suite_v5.4.1]# ./linux.bin -console

Fair enough
What information you need? I will upload it
ok
It dies after it asks “Press 1 to continue” right after it loads the JVM
We’ve followed the guide up until this point
Please let us know what could a next step be since this will present a bottle neck in our deployments
Just as a test, I manually executed one of your scripts (hciinstallprep) located in the /tmp directory from the directory where the install binaries are located
I wanted to test executing a script located in the /tmp directory to try and clear some questions
[root@ontempd0aav002 Cloverleaf_integaration_suite_v5.4.1]# pwd
/home/software/Cloverleaf_integaration_suite_v5.4.1[root@ontempd0aav002 Cloverleaf_integaration_suite_v5.4.1]#
/tmp/install/hciinstallprepperl done
bin/gnutar done
[root@ontempd0aav002 Cloverleaf_integaration_suite_v5.4.1]#
Seemed to have executed so, /tmp looks like is mounted with the default exec flag
Any more ideas?
I’ve looked for other postings but command line install doesn’t seem to be very popular
