Just got a respons from our support organisation and they told me that there are 2 new parameters in “Options > Site Preferences > Database Configurations” to influence the number of accepted connections to a database.
Initial Pool Size & Maximum Pool Size, both parameters apparently have a default value of 1.
I was adviced to put a higher value (ie. 5) in the Maximum Pool Size

The NetherlandsMay 1, 2024 at 4:44 am in reply to: Intermittent issues with Basic and Advanced Database Lookup tables #121346Hello,
We’ve been experiencing the same sort of problems after we migrated from 20.1.2 to 20.1.3. And like you we couldn’t find any usefull info in the log files.
We solved most of our problems bij making sure that we run only 1 database action per process.

The NetherlandsOctober 21, 2019 at 10:51 am in reply to: TCL PROC NEEDED TO REMOVE OBR WITH NO CORRESPONDING OBX #113234Why use a TCL proc?
I’ve had a similar problem and used an xlate with an iterate on the OBR level and inside that iterate I check on the contents (or lack thereof) of the OBX segment and use that info to decide if I need to do a pathcopy of that specific OBR part of the message.

The NetherlandsI’ve been looking at the same issue, but couldn’t figure out how to set the cloverleaf environment from a powershell script.
I wanted to make a script that can restart a thread from within a powershell script.

The NetherlandsBy the way….
it’s still unclear to me how the password construction works.
Especially if you want to use a SMAT DB file from a production site on a testsite where the sitename is different.
I would also like to be able to store the SMAT history files on a different location (ie. not in the cloverleaf directory).

The NetherlandsHaven’t worked with the new SMAT DB that much yet, but I do miss an option to copy info from the metadata parameters.
For example the MID.
Same goes for the ErrorDB tool.
It also would be helpfull to show the Userdata as a column in the search result list.

The NetherlandsApril 13, 2016 at 4:24 pm in reply to: Testing Tool: TPS, no output – using on a virtual machine #83881I have a slightly different recurring problem.
I use the IDE on my PC to connect to my cloverleaf 6.0.2 (vmware) server.
I regularly don’t receive output when using the testing tool.
When that happens I start the IDE on the vmware server and redo the test. On the server I never have problems getting the output from the testing tool.

The NetherlandsI have similar problems when I’m using the testing tool on the client that’s installed on my PC (Win7). It doesn’t work about 50% of the time.
The problem might be connected to the fact that I often change between different cloverleaf servers with my PC client and this results in regular (1 minute+) timeouts when I try to start the Network Monitor or Configurator, I still haven’t figured out the cause of this delay.
Anyway, I usually end up using the testing tool on a client that I’ve started on my Win2008 cloverleaf server, it always works fine on the server.
I’m using v6.0.1

The NetherlandsI found a workaround for this problem.
I started using the “Only list the information for threads in question in alert message” option in Site Options / Alert Configuration.

The NetherlandsThanks,
But I knew that adding the set rc “” would prevent my error message.
However if I do that I still won’t have info on why the odbc statement failed to put into my gc_dbHandleODBCError call….

The NetherlandsWe’re using 5.8.4 under Windows and got a -931 error once – just after clearing up a -921 error.
We were told that the -931 error can be caused by backup or virusscan processes that cause a user lock on cloverleaf files.
We were advised to exclude the exec subdirs from backup/virusscan actions.
I haven’t followed this advice yet, cause the error hasn’t reccured.
