Dustin,
I wouldn’t mind the examples. I have not gotten this to work, in fact we have gone downhill. now we cannot even get ver 19.1.1 to start up any processes on the Win 2016 server box.
Thanks, we will look into it.
Sorry, my bad. I was told only by size, not time.
I was told only on time. Maybe I was told wrong
We were able to find the settings to have 19.1 use the IDX/MSG smat files. Took some work but Greg was able to find out how to do it.
October 20, 2017 at 4:52 pm in reply to: returning multiple HL7 messages from a single message input #85663I had hoped to use just TCL. I am very comfortable with it, not so much Xlates.
I am running Ver 5.7 rev 2 on a Windows 2008 server.
June 29, 2015 at 5:57 pm in reply to: Anyone ever add an API Client or Web Service to their engine #80596I ended up setting up a virtual server with their API client on it. Then I write the HL7 messages out to a folder on my engine and transfer them into a folder on the other server to be picked up and handled with their API client.
Really is a pain, but I was not included in the decision making on this. Just told to make it work.

Does this make a difference?
I want to thank you all for the info. Just got the word this morning, the class was O.K.’d for the July class. 😀
OK Ed, I will check with the network people on both sides to see what the time out is.
Thanks
We are on Windows Server 2008 with version 5.7 sp2. We cycle all our prod threads and archive the files twice a day.
Thanks Jigar. I do not think it is the same issue. I have taken the ‘Wait for replay’ off this thread (not the best option, but it has stopped the calls at 2 in the morning). We have lost connection during a time when it is very busy and when it is quiet.
I stopped the thread and did the hcitcptest. If I try it with the thread on, I get a socket error.
I have an alert that fires when there are more than 9 messages waiting to go out. I did the test as soon as I was notified of the alert.
I have started (this morning) saving the ACK’s they send to see if there is a correlation between waiting for an ACK and the messages stopping.
I really appreciate all the time and help you have given me on this.
Await replies, waiting forever
Had 2 failures last night. stopped the thread, ran the hcitpctest routine both times. Showed a connection. Restarted thread, messages passed through.
