XPM data fetch failed (304) errors

I am receiving these 304 errors for one of my inbound interfaces.  I did not receive these messages when this interface was tested.  Now that we are live with this interface, I have noticed these errors.  They don’t occur too often, but they occur often enough to have entries in the error database just about daily.  

When I look at the message in the error database, I see:

Fetch failure on ‘{IF data fetch produced multiple vlaues.}’

Does anyone have any idea what may be causing this? It seems like there is an IF statement that is looking for one value, but it is getting multiple correct values.  I just don’t know where to find the IF statement.

Ariba,

Take a look at the IF statements and then look at the values that are coming in those fields that the IF statements are referencing.  There may be delimiter characters (i.e. ^ &) in the field which is causing the parsing issue and the “multiple values” condition.  I’ll see this often with fields that are comments, and someone enters an ampersand (&) as part of the text.
