XML TrxID

Good Afternoon,

On our outbound side we currently go from XML -> HL7.  The need has come up to send multiple messages and we would like to route them based on an ID in the XML.

I am not sure how to go about implementing and getting the TRXID from an XML File.  Has anyone done this or are there any suggestions on how to accomplish this?

Lawrence,

I have never done this but I think XML does not have a specific ‘transaction code’ so I would expect to have to write a Tcl proc to use for setting the trxid.

I would use the grm functions to get to the ‘field’ or fields that indicate the transaction within the XML schema, others might parse the XML message themselves to find the appropriate field.
