Keith, did you ever get this figured out? I’m working on my first XML inbound interface right now and was curious about your question.

No responses. One of the interfaces was sent in HL7 with OBX:5 populated with base64 encoded xml.  Handled with a normal HL7 ACK and the decoded the xml and over wrote the message before the translate.  This gave a visibility into the xml via the translate and saved it into smat on the way out.  The way out by the way was an sftp upoc.  This worked, but would really prefer getting into the xml and https world for the correct way of handling these….Not there yet.  WS2.0 is just out…
