      I have asked this before and you all had previously assisted me in order to get my iterate to work correctly.  However, now I need to understand how to reset the new set of NTE after another OBX segment For example, see below:

      After the NTE’s and the next OBX segment (OBX|2|) , the NTE is still incrementing – (NTE|9| , NTE|10|, and I need it to reset and start with 1 again (NTE|1|, NTE |2|).

      1(0).1(0).1(0).NTE(0)  :  >|1|| < 1(0).1(0).1(0).NTE(1)  :  >|2||Determination of persistent

      1(0).1(0).1(0).NTE(2)  :  >|3|| urinary albumin excretion in the range of

      1(0).1(0).1(0).NTE(3)  :  >|4|| albumin/gram creatinine is operationally

      1(0).1(0).1(0).NTE(4)  :  >|5|| microalbuminuria.

Also another question, in an ITERATE, in which instance would someone use the SEGMENT type, and what might be the syntax for the basis? Thank you so much for your advice and assistance! fj

              Femina,

              I am guessing you have a MATH ADD to increment your Set ID counter.

              You need to reset that when getting the next OBX group.

              Use segment for an iteration when it is the segment repeats (such as the NTE within the OBX group – typically – {OBX {[NTE]}}).

              One needs to keep in mind in the above example that the basis for the NTE segment needs to have the group repetition counter for the OBX group placed appropriately.

              Of course field is used in an iteration when there is a repeating field (such as the Observation field of the OBX segment).

                Thank you.  I have placed the reset of the counter before the first iterate and still had no luck.

                Thank you.
