X12 testing tool.

Running cloverleaf 5.5 and 5.8.

Trying to move some x12 conversion / translation to 5.8.

In 5.5 I run the testing tool to the raw x12 file.  When I parse the message all looks good. The translation I have for it works as well.

In moving to 5.8 it all fails. I get no response from anything.

I went back to 5.5 and tested the “check Numbers”

And get the result

Testing message format Nn field conversions

ISA*00*          *00*          *01*030240928      *ZZ*KELSEY SEYBOLD *……….

Expected  : Got 536872868

Can someone tell me what this means ?

Or at least give me some direction where to go with this ?

John,

I have never used the test_numbers option on the X12 tester.

My guess (and this is only a guess) is that this is checking the HL levels to make sure they are correct.

The help is not much help and I don’t recall anything in my X12 studies that relates to that term.

For grins, I just tried that on a X12 message I have and got no error (of course I am not on the same release – 5.6R2).
