Writing message PARTIALLY complete

I have an issue where an inbound to Cloverleaf results interface stops receiving messages.  The thread stays green but no messages come in.  I turned up EO Config and see the following for the ACK for the last message successfully received:

Why would a message only partially compete?  What happens when the callback function is set for writing a partial message?  How can I handle this condition when it occurs?  Thanks in advance for any help given.
