Windows to Linux

We are looking to move another facility’s Windows based Cloverleaf sites to our Cloverleaf instance running in Linux. Is this pretty straight forward? We have done this Unix to Unix but not Windows to Unix. Would there be much different?

    Thanks

There shouldn’t be much difference. The only problem I can think of would be if there are scripts that make calls to Windows utilities that don’t exist on Linux (Blat, Powershell, Microsoft Office, etc.). If you have any scripts that send email messages, I’d take a look at those.

I wonder if any file paths in your NetConfig or tcl code would be an issue.

Dave, Steve thanks, things to watch for. As far as moving Windows based files over to a Unix environment it does not sound like that would be an issue.

if you have ODBC calls, it will not be free on UNIX. Or is the LINUX flavor different in that respect?
