On CL5.3 windows server 2003 ( from the cmd line) Scripts that do the same thing over and over seem to just hang for no reason and never return, sometimes to the point of not accepting a break or ^C.

They might run to completion, halfway, quarterway, etc. the behavior seems to be impossible to predict, except for one

          Hi,

Just wondering if you ever found a solution (other than going to Unix) for your issues.

We are experiencing something similar. We are trying to set up Tcl scripts to do a cycle save, but the script is not behaving.

We are running v5.3 on Windows Server 2003.

          Thanks

This problem has to do with the way W2003 handles standard output.  I beleive it has been resolved in Tcl 8.4 available with Cloverleaf 5.4.1+

            As a work-around:

            When you exec a command

If you need to look at the results of the command, redirect the output to a temp file then read the file contents.  If you do not need the output of the command, redirect the output to null (nul:)
