Windows Security Patches

I have a question on patching Engine server with MS patches.

We are using Cloverleaf 5.4.1 on windows 2003 server with SP2. The person who used to do patching the engine server quit almost 5 months ago since then we did not run any patches on the engine server.

I am planning to update the engine with all MS matches to make it current.

Other than a full back up of the server what sort of precautions do I have to take?

Any suggestions/Comments are welcome.

Hi Krishna,

I am running cloverleaf 5.7 on Windows server 2003, service pack 2.  I  apply all patches on the test server first, watch all process logs and error files closely for a week or so, and then apply the same patches on the production servers.

Problem is we do not have a separate test server. We are running production and test sites on same server
