We are doing some planning for our HIE and are planning on using Cloverleaf’s IHE Adapter to route the ITI transactions between our HIE and other document producers/consumers. Our HIE needs an ITI-41 (provide and register) transaction but one of our document producers is really a repository and can only send out an ITI-42 (register document set). We’ll need our engine to transform the ITI-42 into an ITI-43 (Retrieve Document) and send it back to the foreign repository/registry. When the foreign repository sends back the CCD we’ll have to turn it into an ITI-41 message for our internal HIE to consume. I have not found a lot of XDS.b documentation on the format for the response to an ITI-43 message. I’m trying to figure out how much work it will be to convert what we get back as a response to an ITI-43 into an ITI-41. Does anyone have any experience with this?
