I know it’s -z something: what are the variations of zeroing out all or specific threads… thanks!

Just type in hcimsiutil, hit enter – it will tell you what the options are.

I have come to like using the following for interactive use to zero out everything in the site:

              hcimsituil -Z

and for zeroing out counts via automated script near midnight I’ve come to like:

              hcimsiutil -xt ThreadName

because this leave the read/write times in tact.

Like mentioned earlier running a command without any args sometimes will display options to the screen.

When I run hcimsiutil without args I get this:

Usage: hcimsiutil [-D] [-dh] [-dt] [-da] [-dd thread] [-pd]
[code]Usage: hcimsiutil [-D] [-dh] [-dt] [-da] [-dd thread] [-pd]

Use the -X option in place of the -Z option if you have ‘last received’ alerts defined.  It will leave date and timestamps intact, otherwise you may get a bunch of alerts where the default date and time is used Dec. 31, 1969 for Linux I believe….
