    Hi,

I’m using a vrl to hl7 conversion in an xlate and need to populate the MSH segment. Can I use the current date/time on the server to do this?

Yes you can. Just make sure it is formatted properly. There is a Default Xlate variable @now which provides the system date and time. I don’t recall if it needs to be re-formatted but either the STRING Action (depending on Cloverleaf release) or a Tcl proc can do the job I would think.
