Has anyone used a Window based Netconfig on Linux box?  We would like to move all our sites onto one box.  Some sites are on a Windows box and the others are on Linux.  We plan to keep the Linux box so we are hoping we could use the Netconfig file as at least a base.  What changes might be requires?  Or what concerns might there be with using Netconfig across platforms?

You should be able to port them over by either zipping your site on Windows and copying over to Linux.  I have rarely had any issues going in either direction.

I usually zip or tar at the site level.

          $HCIROOT/tar -cvf ./NetConfig ./Alerts ./eoalias ./Tables …etc….

You should be able to do essentially the same with Windows and then use the unzip command on Linux.

Create your new site on Linux, Copy your zip file there to the site directory. Review your unzip command if need be using ‘man unzip’

          $HCIROOT/unzip

          Hope this helps…
