In the Cloverleaf Training manual, it makes a reference to the the Tilde

      for Value Naming in Xlates.

“Only valid on source values.  Indicates that the source value was selected from the output record.”

What is the practical application for this?

      Thanks,

      Phil

          Phil,

Let’s say you value an output field as a result of some logic (like CONCAT or MATH, etc.).

Then you need to check the value of that output field.

You can have an IF Action with the source side indicating the output field. That field will have a tilde in front of it to idicate to the Action the data should be taken from the output field.
