I’m hoping someone can tell me where I’m going wrong here. I created a site (to experiment with) with CL6.02 on a virtual Windows 2008 machine. I then copied all the files from our 5.7 production site (a virtual Windows 2003 machine) into the site I just created.

Using Network monitor, all the threads were there as well as in the configuration tool. All the tcl procs were listed in the drop down, etc. It all looked ok.

However, when I tried to edit a tcl proc, the drop down list was empty. this was true for alerts, and xlates. I was hoping upgrading by just copying the site would make this process faster. I thought there was a command to run to upgrade all the files to the new version of CL, but I can’t find it.

Am I missing something or am I going to have to rebuild the site thread by thread on the new engine?

Here is how I upgraded our old cloverleaf sites to a new scratch install of cloverleaf 6.0 one site at a time.

This method of using hcirootcopy does not require rebuild of the interfaces on the new cloverleaf 6.0 server.

I did a NFS mount read only of the old cloverleaf 5.6 directory and created a symbolic link to it that looked like this on the new Cloverleaf 6.0 server:

          (hci@dopilhub1b) /home/hci > cd /cloverleaf
          (hci@dopilhub1b) /cloverleaf > ls -al
          total 8
          drwxrwxr-x
          [code](hci@dopilhub1b) /home/hci > cd /cloverleaf
          (hci@dopilhub1b) /cloverleaf > ls -al
          total 8
          drwxrwxr-x
