My question is, can I just “move” the environment over? My plan thus far is to do an install of 5.5 on the new Itanium server and setup the directories appropriately. Then, upgrade the existing 5.1 environment to 5.5. Then basically stop each “site” and copy the site’s data to the new server. So, only the site data would transfer and nothing under the qdx5.5 install directory. Will this work or are there some sort of binary compatibility issues with the site data as well?
Just to clarify, my current layout is as follows:
/opt/quovadx/qdx5.1 <-- Integrator install
/opt/quovadx/sites <-- Location of interfaces by site, symlinked from
/opt/quovadx/qdx5.1/integrator/
I would plan on upgrading this to 5.5, then copying /opt/quovadx/sites to the new Itanium server.
Please forgive my lack of familiarity with the product. I’m the UNIX admin tasked with the migration and not a developer.
