          Do a search for “encoding” or “encoding convertto identity”.

          If you set the inbound and outbound encoding to binary or passthrough, it should send the message correctly, but it will still display it incorrectly in the logs.

            Henry, for all our Cerner interfaces sending data, and their corresponding outbound data recipients, we set the Encoding on protocol tab to bypass.  See attached for screenshot in NetConfig.  This became a problem for us back in some version of 5, either 5.5 or 5.8.

              Thanks for the response Robert, I have read all the posts on this issue including yours and going forward we have resolved the problem using this setup.
