this happens when the database is being written to and the process dies in the middle of a write.

Did the server reboot/crash unexpectedly?

Otherwise something killed the process with a “kill -9” or task manager in windows.

To fix this you will need to clear all the messages out of the site, stop the site, perform a destructive clean up of the database and start up again.

You may need to resend the messages around the time of the crash as well.
