top command and 5.4

We are a new Cloverleaf site and started off with AIX 5.2 and Cloverleaf 5.3, Rev 3.   Recently we upgraded to Cloverleaf 5.4.  I’ve found that when I execute the top command now, instead of getting an interactive display that automatically updates every few seconds, the info just scrolls off the screen and I am returned immediately to a command prompt at the bottom.  But if I navigate to the qdx5.3/integrator/bin directory and execute ./top from the command prompt, I get the familiar display that updates.

The sizes of the two top programs are different:

qdx5.3:  96890

qdx5.4:  98187

Does anyone have an explanation for why the version of the top command in 5.4 doesn’t seem to be working on our system, or is this just a bug in the release?
