      I’m getting an error when I try to test tclprocs in my testing tool:

      [0:TEST] Tcl error:

      msgId = message0

      proc = ‘tps_filter_for_ptservice’

      args = ”

      result = ‘couldn’t open “filtered_source_tps_filter_for_ptservice.tcl_-955827149”: permission denied’

      I CAN open “tps_filter_for_ptservice.tcl” in the scripting tool.

      File permissions look ok.    When saving a tcl from the scripting tool, it gives it 664 permissions.

      Any ideas??

          Thanks to Bryan, I found the following, posted by Rob Abbott in 2005:

          “Since you are running these commands through the GUI, you will need to make sure that the hostserver is running in a directory that it has write permissions to.

          Stop the host server with “hciss -k h”, change to a directory that you can write to, and restart it with “hciss -s h”.

          This resolved the issue for me.

          And thanks to you Rob, too!
