AIX 5.3, Cloverleaf 5.5rev1.  We found an interesting problem this week on Monday.  Our NetConfig file on our development machine was actually an HL7 message!  A little asking around, found that one of our colleagues was working with that message.  Here is what she did.

She had an open version of the client, which had other tabs open.  However we did not take note of these tabs.  She then opened the Testing Tool, went to XLT tab, picked an Xlate, put in her file, changed to lenght encoded, and ran the tool.  The message came through, and an hour glass appeared.  After we recovered the NetConfig, and made a backup, we had her do it again and again the NetConfig was overwriiten with the message file!  We had here close the client and open it again and the problem does not reoccur!

      Has anyone seen this before?

Robert, we have the same setup.  AIX 5.3 and 5.5Rev1 of Cloverleaf.  Have not had this problem.  In looking at testing tool.  It looks like this could happen if in the “Save Options” portion, she selected the NetConfig file for the “Save To” portion.

That was the first thing I thought too.  However, when we recreated the issue, that field was blank.  What it seems to me is that some Clovelreaf internal variable was set by some other module and carried over to the Testing tool.  We have not had the problem since and use the testing tool quite frequently.
