      Hello, All.

I’m a long-time Cloverleafer, but on the UNIX side of things.  However, since my employer is a Windows shop, I lost the UNIX vs Windows debate.

Anyway, the software arrived last week and it is installed on the server and the client on my PC.  The telnet session (clicking on the SHELL button from IDE) on the server works great, but not from the client.

I’m using Reflections to connect to the server and am having problems.  First, in UNIX, there is a .profile file that sets the /hci environment, setroot, etc.  Does such a thing exist in Windows?  Secondly, where is the home directory?  Thirdly, (and I”ll stop), even though the Reflections telnet session is configured for 132 width, there is still a limitation of 80 characters.  Can someone pass a solution back to me?

      Thanks,

          Nathan,

I don’t have an answer for your question, but just a comment with respect to ‘losing the UNIX’ debate.  I can understand the organization standardizing on Windows for the ‘client’ side of things, but I guess I’m surprised on the Windows vs. UNIX on the ‘server’ side.  I guess I’ll offer my condolensces…. 😉
