I’m a green horn when it comes to the cloverleaf product.  My background – I have attended level 1 training but do not have any monies left to attend level 2 training which is where TCL proc and Xlate are discussed in detail.  With this in mind, I will have a Meditech ADT and Order inbound HL7 interface.  From these two interfaces I need to filter out the ADT’s and Orders to the coresponding vendors not sure how to do this.  Our current HL7 interface (which I cannot change) can filter by subtype or by Nursing station.  Is this possible and can someone help me create one such TCL proc or Xlate routine and I’ll go from there?

Richard, the ADT and the Orders from MEDITECH; these should be different event types and based on the event types you should be able to route these to the appropriate receiving systems or is that you want to suppress one of the event types? I don’t quite follow your question.

          thanks

Amol,  With in the ADT and with in the Orders I need to filter to different outbound systems.  I think the current HL7 engine we have it filters based on patient subtype or patient nursing station.

I’l take a stab at it.  If am following, you have one inbound feed for ADT and one for ORDERS, but need those feeds to go outbound to different vendors and add some filtering.  Just add a different route for each outbound connection and add in your translation.  If you need to filter before translation add a tps proc, to say filter out nurse unit X.

                Gary,

You are correct in your statements but I have never done A TPS Proc before so guidance is what I am needing to get this done.

Since you are asking for more details on how to implement message filtering, look at my replies noted below that attempt to show the details of implementing a message filter.

This filter method uses a TPS proc pre-xlate with a lookup table to only allow the desired messages to flow thru.

This filter method uses a trxId proc with more complex and coumpound filtering conditions to identify messages to be killed.
