      Hi All ,

Hopefully a simple question. We are configuring a FTP Thread to connect to

an external vendor. The vendor requires we connect to them using Port 8021 .

Under the FTP Options tab of the FTP Protocol Properties there is an option for Port under FTP Host Information. The default is FTP .

Is it possible to use the specific Port , 8021 .  ?

It is possilbe to FTP to a specified port for added security and we do it on some of our integrations.

We don’t use cloverleaf engine FTP protocol here so I can’t say about how to configure it because we use our own argument driven scripts that do all our FTP movement.

Just to give you an example if doing FTP from the command prompt for the following conditions:

            Paul,

I don’t know about 5.8 but on 5.6 you can just enter a port number or if the port number is in the /etc/services file click on the ‘List’ button and select from the pull-down.

If you can type it in I don’t see any reason why that won’t work (as long as the trading partner is configured properly).

Best to test with a command line attempt first as Russ indicated.

              Thanks Russ and Jim ,

In 5.8,   I was able to enter an actual Port Nbr. and the save the thread.

and even Validate the NetConfig without errors , so I can only assume that

              it will connect.

We will definitely test it first.

              Thank you
