We are wondering what other hospitals use for SPAM prevention?  I appreciate anyone willing to share.

      Thanks … Misti

I don’t know how much CDH spent on this.

The technology makes the e-mail sender reply to a verification message to release their e-mail from quarantine.  If they don’t reply, you don’t get the e-mail.  Users can configure specific whitelists,  which can contain wildcards like *@*.edu or *@*.il.gov, so all your outside university and government contacts e-mail avoids spam filtration.

          Works well.

This is exactly the same approach I took six years ago when I developed this web-based mailbox cleaning service: http://www.CleanMyMailbox.com” class=”bbcode_url”>http://www.CleanMyMailbox.com  No appliance, no software to install, just register and the service visits your mailbox 4 to 6 times an hour and cleans it of unwanted email.  It has worked flawlessly for POP and IMAP mailboxes only for the past 6 years.   8)
