SMATDB in IDE not up-to-date

Running CL v19.1 – soon moving to v2022.

I’ve asked questions related to this in the past, so this may sound somewhat familiar.

I am trying to see a way to use SMATDB, but I continue to see problems with timely  updates of messages in the DB – in the Cloverleaf GUI at least.

I’m writing all of our prod ADT to SMATDB and consistently see several minutes delay before messages are displayed in the graphic SMAT Database tool.

It’s like it updates the display in chunks – infrequently.

Let’s say I display all messages in SMATDB.

I’ll then click “refresh search” several times over the next few minutes, but it doesn’t return any additional messages.  After 5-6 minutes, it will eventually display another chunk of several hundred messages.

When messages are eventually displayed, it does show correct “Time Saved” timestamps.

So, it would seem it’s receiving and storing messages real-time, but the search in “SMAT Database” is not finding/displaying those new messages for quite a long time.

I can’t use SMATDB if I can’t rely on it being up-to-date when I search.

Please tell me I’m missing something obvious.

I would recommend opening an incident with Support.  It could be something as simple as adding some arguments to the JVM in the Advanced Tab on the Client preferences or even checking/unchecking items on the SMAT tab.  Support probably has some recommendations/best practices for performance related to the SMAT DB/GUI
