SMAT – View Definition

Hello Team,

Sorry to bombard you all with questions these last couple of weeks.  Does anyone know where the view is saved in the cloverleaf path once a new view is created for the search criteria in the SMAT tool?

We have been searching for this view outside the GUI and cannot find it.

I think it is in the .ecd file which is in the same directory with the .idx and .msg files – normally the process directory unless you are talking about archives.

We finally figured this out.  The custom views are embedded in the same smat files where the view was created.  Therefore, if we open a brand new SMAT file, create a view and them select import – at that point we import the original smat file where the view was created; walla and you will see the views.  That was a difficult find, as I never expected that.
