SMAT searches using SMAT database

Hi,

    I am new to Cloverleaf 6.1.  We are using the SMAT database.  I am trying to do a search for all A04 messages for a certain facility (REF in MSH|4) for a resend.  I am not having any luck qualifying the transactions.  Anyone have any suggestions?

Jason,

Perhaps if you specify MSH.Sending Facility[MSH.4]=XXX in your HL7 Search criteria (where XXX is the Facility value), and then add some Advanced Criteria based on Message Content with a regular expression of ADT^A04

    Thanks for your reply.  I’m not following the MSH.Sending Facility aspect.  Do I use the regular expression search and specific the MSH 4 value? What would the format for that be?

Are you using 6.1.0.0 or 6.1.1.0?  I believe Jame’s notation is for 6.1.1.0 with the latest patch.  See example in attachment.  I am still working out details for the more complex criteria as well.  Hope this works…

Sorry about that.  Keith is correct; I was referencing the functionality on 6.1.1.  I am not a regular expression expert, but maybe you could try something like:

MSH|*|XXX|*|ADT^A04

where XXX is your facility ID….

The attached worked using CERNER and ADT^A04.

I went to a 6.1.0.0 version and put in the same criteria.  It does work there as well, just doesn’t have the frills provided by 6.1.1.0.

Finding possible issues in search criteria.  When I use more than one regular expression in the criteria stack, I get varied results.

In the attached example over 100s of thousands of messages, I received a single ADT^A04 message as a result.  I know that thousands actually meet the criteria.

If I throw in save context equal to Outbound in addition to the attached criteria, I get no results….

Not sure what the limitations are yet, but would like others’ experiences or resolutions.

Looks like this may have been corrected with the 6.1.1.0 patch.  I reran the query and had a substantial number of ADT^A04 messages return with multiple regular expression criteria in the stack.
